Subject: DialCleaner dilemma

texboy ( ) posted Fri, 03 October 2003 at 1:13 PM · edited Sat, 09 November 2024 at 9:11 PM

Not really a dilemma, but dern annoying: I recently opened a bunch of CR2s and PZ3s with DialCleaner, cleaned the dials, and saved the treated files. Lo and behold, when I opened them later in Poser PP, all subsequent files were the same as the first one I cleaned up. Buggeration! About 10 total lost; not irreplaceable, but still very irritating. Does one have to quit after each cleanup? What's the answer, DAZ??

Did you have the backup originals box with a dot in..if so you still have the old files but called something.cr2.bak......Steve

What does this mean: backup originals box with a dot in I love it when you talk tech but this doesn't make sense to me. I'm a techno idiot, you know.

What it does is take the original (say its called mike.cr2) and rename it, Mike.cr2.bak so if Dialcleaner messes up your cr2 that took you hours to set up you just delete the messed up one it made and rename your backed up one by deleting the .bak off the extension....Steve

I understood that part of the explanation (strangely enough). I just don't understand the box with a dot in it. ;)

well, you guys lost me now too.. who's brian and what does he have to do with a dot in a radio or was that in a box ????

I think Brian and Dot were hanging out in the box that the radio came in....but don't ask me what they were doing in there. It was a small affair.

It would have to be - it's a very small box :-) Night all!

Unless it was a large radio. ;) Friday night waywardness, that's all.
