Is Vue 4 Pro really worth it or not? and if so why and if not why, please donot post a link to e-on's site or anything I want to know ur opinion not the tachnical mumbo jumbo. Thankyou. ps. I have poser 5.

If you are a beginner with Vue -or even 3D-, don't get Vue Pro, but first learn with Vue 4.12 If you are already an advanced user with Vue 4, get Vue Pro. If you like to do animations and you are already good in other low price animation programs, Yes, then you absolutely need Vue. IMHO as a beta tester Guitta

IMHO as a beta tester? Ic yes I am ok with poser and vue 4 (my buddies copy). Now I am thinking on getting my own vue pro. I have lotta ideas which I feel can put to action with vue pro but am not sure if its worth the price.

Jot, it depends on what you are trying to do. I went to look at your gallery to see what types of images you are interested in making, but didn't find anything there. So hard to say. I have both Vue 4 (updated to Vue 4.12) and now Vue 4 Pro. I have used Vue 4 for about 2 years, and felt ready to tackle something a bit more sophisticated. If you just want to do stills, with Poser import, and you are not really interested in doing a lot of vegetation editing and complex animation, then I would buy Vue 4. I will say, from completely unbiased opinion, that I still am not sure that Vue Pro is worth extra price, but I've only been using it a couple of days. A lot of the differences have to do with save and export functions to other apps, and G buffer stuff for compositing animations. I am quite happy with Vue 4 (4.12), and will keep it on my computer and continue to use it. I think there are issues already with Vue Pro...scratched CDs (very poor packaging), manual could have more specific install information, still get freezes and crashes, some things not working correctly. So expect a patch soon. All I can say is weigh the pros and cons.

If you can afford Pro -- then that would be the one to get. If cost is a consideration, then go with D'Esprit. Pro is going through the new release bug-iron-out period so you will have to put up with some things of that nature for awhile. E-on is pretty good company so that they will work out the main problems . . .

V4P main purpose is to offer Vue4 features to the professional artists. It allows the ability to communicate with other programs like Lightwave, Maya and others. Many professional artists and animators want to use the outstanding atmosphere that Vue can provide and V4P gives them this opportunity. That is why V4PRO is called PRO I think and has the extended export functions, and G-buffer render capability. Those features are a very big help to the professional artist. It would be up to the individual user that has Vue as their main 3D application to decide if the improved render qualities and faster render speeds are worth the investment. To me it is. :O) `shoop

cool. I am running p4 3.0ghz with 3gigs of ram. And as for my style I do whole bunch but for an exaple goto www.poserpros.com and search for ASSASSIN and it will show my gallery. And also I will be doing all kind of shots (inside and out). I will be importing poser 5 files/animations. and also has anyone had a problem/error saying that Your poser(poser 5) serial number is invalid? I had this prob with poser 4 and vue 4, but does this happen with vue pro and poser 5 aswell?

and also all the goodies it ces with, are they worth it?

If comparing what you get and the price of Vue4 and Vue4Pro I would say that unless you have a real need for the better integration with high end 3D software or have a lot of money and don't knot for what to use it or make money on what you do then it's NOT worth it. And there is no extra goodies either except for more scenes. For a short while I thought that thay had put some extra plants in there (something really needed considering the limited use of the plant editor) but they had just distributed some plants that you whould have to pay for in order to use them.
