Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 08 9:27 am)
Well, supposedly the man's identity is unknown ;-), and he does it on Poe's birthday in January, but yes, someone did it this year, and someone has done it every year for the past 54 or 55 years. Isn't there a three-day celebration? And the unknown visitor is a highlight of the party, so I think the tradition will continue.

He has done a lot for the whole "Halloween" tradition and for the literature of "Horror" that people like Stephan King have so successfully mined today. When I was in High School we studied Shakespeare, Dickens and Edgar Allan Poe. Check out Wayne's website- he has lots of great props, including a Child's Hearse and other Poe related type props, as well as general country-Americana type stuff. This site uses cookies to deliver the best experience. Edgar Allan Poe died 154 years ago today, on October 7th, 1849. He's one of my favorite authors, so to honor his memory and his contribution to modern horror and mystery fiction--and to get into the spooky spirit of the season--I'm orchestrating a contest! It's simple: Choose any work by Edgar Allan Poe, and create a representative illustration for that work. Tons of great prizes from top-quality merchants! Check out the link above!
