"Reinstall Windows" is NOT a troubleshooting step.

You could actually use the pict in wildman's link(Catenary 1.jpg )(clean it up in photoshop first) or something similar as the basis for a heightmap for a terrain in the terrain editor which as a terrain can be exagurated horizontaly to get the look you want if you don't want to get involved with the rest of it. - TJ

Sagging lengths of rope.........? Somewhere on here is SMARTPIPE that would work a treat for your project....

DL Amapi, draw a curve the shape of your rope, extrude it, smoothe it, export it, import it into bryce and voil Done :)

Madmax put the smart pipe in freestuff it's at the above link. It is a group of multi replicated metaballs that can be pulled and twisted to form any shape you like. Catlin

Thanks heaps everyone. I have just downloaded the smart pipe,it's pretty damn clever. I'll give that a go and will probably have a look at Amapi as well.Anything free has to be worth a look. Cheers GG.

Kiwi, to texture the smart pipe go to the bottom of the screen and click on the metaball icon, this will bring up a list and click on select all metaballs. This selects all the metas in the pipe and you can then texture them as normal. 8) Catlin
