Hey, Ok I'm going to start by saying I am a TOTAL beginner to Flash. I have mastered Dreamweaver and Fireworks pretty well but now want to move onto Flash for animations. I do graphics for websites and would like to start creating some Flash animations for them. Is there anything/sites out there that are very good for teaching you the program ? I have been doing the tutorials in the actual program but they don't put you on your way to creating some top notch intros. Do you have to combine other 3D programs with Flash to do your work ? For example say I wanted to do a little 3D box with smoke coming out of it - how would I go about it ? Thats just an example. Would I use other programs alongside it or could it all be created in Flash ? I'm sorry but they might sound like stupid questions but I bear again I'm a beginner. Any of your help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks ........ Oscar

You will probably have to use seperate programs for the box effect. Vecta3D is a good one. You COUL animate it with multiple frames of some vector shapes, but it would take a while.

Thanks for the reply. Where can I get Vecta 3D ? I know it's $50 but can I get a demo. You mean it will be able to animate a smoke effect ? I thought that program was just for changing 3D models to Vecta. Oscar

I use Bryce along with Flash (you can see my work here : http://www.cronus.spaceports.com/~3d/) Choose the flash site. Bryce is a great program after you master it. Mastering it is the key though to success with it. Its about 200 and you can by it from metacreations and i think they have a demo as well. (metacreations.com)
