Subject: Has anyone made P4 to RDS5.5 work yet?

I struggle with this periodically. I seem to have gotten around the white seams on the figures by importing as a .pz3, but I have to save each prop or body part with a separate texture map as a separate .obj before it will work. Does anyone have a workable technique with fewer steps? This process takes forever, and rarely seems worth the time.

Cage can be an opinionated jerk who posts without thinking.  He apologizes for this.  He's honestly not trying to be a turkeyhead.

Cage had some freebies, compatible with Poser 11 and below.  His Python scripts were saved at archive.org, along with the rest of the Morphography site, where they were hosted.

Hi Cage, Its been a while since I've done that but I had it working at one point. If I remember correctly I was able to pose the figure in P3 or P4, save the figure as a OBJ and import into RDS 5.5, for still images. I did have the seam split problem...but cant remember how I fixed that. It was one of the Import options ... there is a thread in this forum from a few months back about this...I made the post and it was answered. I think it was about 2 months ago... It was with Carrara I think but it should be the same for RDS 5.5. or - Try changing the import options around till you find the proper combination. The T-Maps did not import with the OBJ file import. I had to create the shader after the OBJ was imported. Sorry I dont have a direct answer but I hope this helps you along... Clint

Import the .obj from Poser as a "simple mesh" in RDS. Then you won't have the seam. But don't try to edit the mesh, otherwise the seam will come back.
