Subject: What is the best way to save WIP

I could use some help again.

How is the best way to save a WIP so it saves all the lights and camera settings?

Everytime I start working again I have to "find" the lights and camera settings for the set all over again.

I have been using PZ3 to save the WIP.

Poser5 with SR3 installed.

Thanks in advance

P.S. just took out lifetime membership in PoserWorld......now if this doesn't overload p5 nothing will heheheheheh

PZ3 should be saving lights and camera settings as well as morphs, parenting, animation, etc. and so forth. The PZ3 basically saves all of the formats combined with extra information for scene and animation setup.

C makes it easy to shoot yourself in the foot. C++ makes it harder, but when you do, you blow your whole leg off.

My musty, dusty brain remembers a lighting issue with P5 relating to light sets from previous Poser versions. I don't know whether this was resolved with some of the SR updates or not - Check the fix list for SR3. Otherwise, you might try the following: (1) Save the light set for the WIP separately to the Light library; (2) Delete them from the image WIP; (3) Save and reopen the image WIP; and (4) Add back the light set you previously saved. Or... (1) Record the settings for the light set (screen shots might be easier than writing it down); (2) Delete the lights from the image WIP; and (3) Recreate the lights manually. Good luck! -Nancy.

Sounds like you are importing the Pz3. Click on the WIP Pz3 and right click, open with P4/P5. All the settings will be there the way you saved it. They won't be if you import.
