Subject: Need Help With Shockwave

Hi, I'm trying to get a Shockwave movie working. I created a web page with a link to my movie and I get the puzzle piece icon as though it can't find the Shockwave plugin. I installed the plugin from Macromedia's site. Still doesn't work. The movies play fine from within a browser from my local machine. I am also running Director 6 on the same machine. Why won't the Shockwave plugin work? Any help is appreciated.... Krel

which extension your movie currently have? Did you use Aftershock to make the movie playable with shockwave plugin?

Myself, I use a Mac with Netscape, and sometimes when that happens it means that your browser might not know how to handle that particular file. When that happens, I go to my browser preferences and under applications tell the browser what application needs to handle that file. Not to sure if this will help, just a shot in the dark.

Whoaah! The same thing just happened to me, not more than 15 minutes ago. Plug-in is there, but browser can't seem to find it.

Found out what was wrong in my case. Computer must have hiccupped. Went in my browser to edit/preferences/applications.Then scrolled down until I came to FLASH and chose EDIT. Then chose Plug-in. Works okay now. Good Luck.

OK, I solved my problem with the initial launching of the movie.....I went to Macromedia and got a cut down version of the HTML which worked.......the first movie launches but subsequent movies produce a "Director movie player error"... I think it may be the lingo, i tried play movie, gotoNetMovie, neither worked; I even included the URL in the movie spec just like in the code examples........if anyone knows the answer to this please email me at krel@infi.net..
