Subject: E mail with fake persons names are going around with subject matter Hi

If you get an E mail that says Hi in the subject matter delete it it has a virus, the mail will be titled with someones name like Tod Mendez but this is not the only name there are several and all say Hi in the subject matter, I got 2 or 3 I scanned and found were infected.

correction Tod R. Melendez is the e mail title and the caption is Hi. The next one is Lela Hansen with the caption saying Hi also infecterd with a virus.

Oh great, and I have a couple of regular correspondants that always head their e mails Hi Thanks for the warning.

Sorry DarkMatter but "subject matter" has nothing to do with whether a virus may or may not be attached. All e-mail should be handled with caution.

Could be another virus which sends itself to everyone in your address book, but spoofs the headers to look like it's from soneone else in your address book. So even if it's someone you know, don't open the attachment unless the person writing tells you what it is.

Roy G, I guess you were not reading what I said. I said I scanned it for viral infection and it registered infected, how clear must I say it?

Here's a simple solution..if you didn't ask for it, or you don't know the sender don't open it.

I just got a "Patch" from Microsoft in my email with an attachment. DELETED IMMEDIATELY!! Their at that one again.......
