I was searching for a darker skinned V3 character and couldn't find one that pleased me. So I decided to do my first texture and this is real hard work. She will be one main character in my fantasy story. Just wanted to show how far I've come yet. I'm working on a body texture resolution of 6000x8000. Fortunately I have 1 Gig Mem so my PC can handle that. Before rendering I change the size to 3000x4000. She will also get a special hair that I will do myself. This was rendered in Poser4 with Global Light settings. Just give me some feedback, how you like it. Thanks - Walter

navel looks a bit strange but for the rest it really looks fine... the color tones/contrasts between nipples and skins are really good, and remind me of some tanned asiates rather than afro americans, at least it looks like methis. great job...

Riddokun, African American's come in a broad spectrum of browns, from very dark, to amber, to golden to even white. At least where I come from. But I believe it's the same almost everywhere. Tintifax, She looks great. I hope you plan to share her with us. Can't wait to see her complete.

Well, I may make her a bit darker and more black. I got the high resolution pictures of a white model and used the healing brush tool to transfer the structur from the white model to low resolution pics of a black model (neat trick). ...and a lot of tweaking afterwards and additional drawing at very high resolutions. Scaled these structures down afterwards to make it look like a photo. I have to work on the navel, I know. Seems not correct yet. I plan to release it, but this may take some time. I want to make a very good job. As good as I can. Thanks for your feedback. I'll keep you informed about the progress. I work also on a white elven character. Got the head ready and a special elven ear morph (looks more vulcan). Will post that too and poll your opinion.

That's an interesting technique. These look really excellent. Can't wait to see the finished product.
