Well...this might be obviously, but did you search on Google for gmax tutorials??? I did and got lots and lots of hits....Actually, gmax is pretty much the same thing as 3ds max, but you might find some things are in slightly different places (also depending on the version of 3ds max you compare it to). The only major differences between gmax and 3ds max are that gmax doesn't render, doesn't have character studio, doesn't have many plugins for it, and doesn't save in the same file formats. I picked up a copy of gmax myself and there were tutorials available from the discreet website, so you might want to make sure you go through those to familiarize yourself a bit more with the gmax interface. Afterwards, you should be able to use any 3ds max tutorial and be able to apply it to gmax.

Can someone give me a link or a website where I can find tutorials for gmax (version 1.2 prefered) of a simple 3d model on how to make for example hand guns, sub machine guns etc........??? I did a google search but I can't find some? I found 3ds max tutorials but not gmax tutorials. I don't think they are the same. I started a gun tutorial for 3ds max using gmax and the instructions were not exactly what I had to do in gmax. So that's why I want a gmax tutorial. So that I can understand better.
