Further expermentation with the terrain editor provides a very nice ice. Here is how I got the picture: load terrain in the editor. Hit dunes 2 or 3 times till they look pretty smooth. Then select add function ( last button on the right at the top of the T Editor. Right click on the function and select load function. Select veins in the layers collection. I left all settings for veins at the defaults but you can ckeck out what is going on by right clicking veins and select edit function. Many choices are here. Tell the T Editor OK and use foamy water for the terrain and you should get similar results. It will be somewhat different since the seed for the T Editor will be different for you. Enjoy
