I'm trying to learn how to model, and I am trying a very basic tutorial. I have looked all over the place to find where to do this at.. but I can't find the info, for all I know its probably in front of my face.,can anyone tell me where to do this at : Set the number of divisions in the X, Y, and Z axii to 3, 4, and 1.?? thanks Essie

Sure. I assume you're talking about the box object, and you haven't converted it to a mesh yet( the selection outline is still yellow). Just double click on it and it will/should open a properties dialog box. It should be obvious where to enter the values specified. If not, just post again. :) ^"^

stop by the Modelling forum here, there's folks who can direct you to Amapi tutorials (I think there's a couple here, but they seemed to expect you to know something of Amapi already). But drop by the Tutorials section here as well, and a google search for 'anim8tor tutorials' should come up with something as well.

I wish I'd said that.. The Staircase Wit

yes, you have to set the divisions Before converting to object BUT remember the newest version now has a Knife function so you can slice-n-dice as you go! Be sure to check out Anim8or's own tutorials, I learned a lot from the EggPlant tutorial and others, and check Gerelday's site for a couple great tutorial to get you going. He helped me a LOT when I first started.

Oh yes! Besides the upgrades to the rendering engine (which I've never used) he added 3 new modeling tools to Ver 0.85: Slice Bump Shell

Other advantages worth mentioning in version 0.85: - The subdivide function now interpolates UVs, so existing mapping is retained; - The axis limiting buttons now apply to scaling as well as translation, so you can scale in one axis only if you choose.
