strange, because blackhearted eyes have specifically animal designed textures in the package (becasue wolves, cats, or other animal's eyes are very different from human eyes) Mine are mostly for "human" characters at start (else i would have make special animal irises and pupils...) I may included a few of them though, as sometimes you want to make a vampire, a werewolf or a nekogirl (catgirls, popular in anime), but i still need to study real animal eyes before. btw blue look strange on a tiger ;) maybe the orange, copper, or topaz could look good...
hmm, you're right, orange would look a little les comical... veritas, i just pasted riddokun's eyes on tope of the eyes in the original skin texture. and I understand animals have different eyes than humans, but I'm thinkin in comic purposes... it's like Osamu tezuka (creator of astro boy).... ALL his animals had human eyes and that gave them tons of more character and expressions (think of Kimba as well)... but of course, he mostly intended that with humour purposes. I'd use the DOAeyes on animals only if I ever need an animal to have human-like qualities (not that that's doing the poor animal any favor, heh). max
MAX- Stay with your idea! Don't do something just because someone says it should be "this way" or "that way" to fit an established concept. The best creative ideas happen because you break out of the mold that has been set. People who are trying to be OFFICIAL ANIME aren't doing anything new, and won't make much money at it since EVERYONE IS ALREADY DOING IT. It's the "new looks" that get me interested. You aren't the first one to ever have this idea, but it still looks "Fresh" and "New" to me. Riddokun- White Tigers DO have blue eyes! At least some of the pictures I've seen (maybe they were wearing contact lenses?) They are usually painted by certain major artists with Blue Eyes too. Lions have the coppertone eyes in most cases. Bengal Tigers come in a surprising array of markings and colorations. I don't know if this is natural- or a result of modern breeding techniques. Many modern Cat Breeds are actually creations by cat breeders and they are able to get an amazing variety of looks once they concentrate on certain genetic traits. BTW- I only experimented once with the Blackhearted eyes- using Mike's eyes in the Tiger. I'm SURE a better choice of eyes could make them look much better- but I would still opt for the "unnatural blues and greens" over the "normal" colors, because it looks so DIFFERENT!
well, thanks for your advice veritas, I'll be sure to hear your words... I tried to make the tiger a white tiger, but it was taking kind of too much time, so in the end I just left it like that... it was not like I was going to use the tiger for anything other than testing the DOAeyes, but for sure a white tiger with blue eyes would look awesome. as I said again, I'll keep on trying those eyes into anything possible, because they're right now quintessential for me. great work, Riddokun!
veritas: well i am not an expert in tigers, and never saw white ones, so i apologize, i did not know. btw one thing i like in the blackhearted was the simple idea: concacave iris... if i knew how to do very basic modelling (and mostly mapping of it) i would make myself smart props too for all characters, for my eyes .(but free, though less good than his), but i am a waste, and so far i cannot afford the time to learn basic modelling on top of all the rest :) I tried a bit in cinema4d (have a free RE6 version), and got things nearly correct, except the mapping... so, i rather focus on textures by now, until i grow better
