I know there are a lot of Rederosity members that stop by this forum with specific questions or problems. Often they find the answer their looking for, sometimes they don't. We are blessed with some very talented and knowledgeable members that don't hesitate to help. I appreciate their time, effort and their willingness to support this forum. But i also know there are a lot of members that just pass through and browse (lurk-mode)

As some of you(s) have noticed, "activity-wise" this forum is rather dead (to put it bluntly), and that i often spend time in the 2D forum and take part in the monthly challenges. I thought "why not start one in the forum and make it Photoshop specific?". So my proposal is to offer a monthly challenge of sorts, starting with MUSIC as a common ground and broaden it from there. I'd like to offer PS tennis matches but there are some logistical problems that need to be worked out first.

If anyone is interested in taking part in the challenge, see the link in the top banner. The only requirement is you need to use the Photoshop program in your design (since we're looking to sharpen our PS skills ;)) and you need to add "November Theme" (or whatever month it is) in the title of your post, then simply post it here in the forum or link it from your gallery. At the end of the month i'll add them all to the "November Gallery" and hopefully we can start something cool that will continue on...

see ya around,
:)

That would be...a CD cover (the square thingy) AND a CD label (the round thingy)? Of course, anyone with that kind of question wouldn't have a chance...hehe.

Yup Chuck, the group this month is the "infamous" Sock Monkeys, that industrial grunge band from (insert "wherever" here)...

the assignment is to produce their next CD package for the marketing department, with the hope that your artwork will influence the impressionable youth to part with their money!!

Doe's this qualify for "Music"?

Jack that'll be perfect for one of the upcoming bands as the "genre" changes each month!

This month the band is called the "Sock Monkeys" and they play Industrial Metal style of music ...sorta' like a band fav of mine named "Violent Work of Art" out of Sweden (this link goes to mp3.com... please disregard any "Parental Advisory" songs...)

Jack, have a go at it ;)
