Has any one got any comments on how Daz3d keep moving the goal posts on their Calender Contest

If they hang in there long enough they
will find 12 USA winners.

Isn't the contest closed? There is a message that the judges are evaluating the entries.

Well yes but every day they put off the results and change the rules Have a look at the link on the subject for a bit of a laugh.

Looks like they didn't think through the contest very well. I'm not sure that means they are now looking for USA winners. If they are trucking through the galleries, it could take more time than just evaluating original submissions. Oh well, I'm not on their galleries nor did I submit so I'm just a curious bystander. Thank you for the additional information.

I think DAZ has a new department: "Change at Will" they are surely getting pretty wishy washy over there.

I'm sure they would consider it just a matter of corporate flexibility.

I think it ought to be right that Daz and the the People who buy DAZ products who should VOTE on what is the best. I mean after all. it is the People who are going throught all the trouble and Work to enter the contest. And to give them a $5 gift cert. for thier trouble is like paying them min. wage. I really and truly believe that all the work they put into this contest, and All the work Daz has to do on other projects, and it would help DAZ out a bit by Letting the People who support them and the Brokers Judge on what is the best. After all it is how We the PEOPE put the people who serve us in office. Any company can hold a contest like this, give away a prize, and have it publish and seen all over the world too. It isn't that hard. i know what the cost of putting a calander out is. Its just a matter of Control. So my thought would be this? Who is judging your image? What do they know about Gallery Art? What may look good one's wall, will it look good one on another persons wall. Is this a way a to Boost up their sales for thir Products thru your Hard work, and give you a $5 for trying even though you were not selected? And If you were, is the Prize worth its weight of the work? For i even know, selling a photograph to a company that make calander is worth its weight in Gold. Daz actually says they'll give $50 gift certificates and free calendars to all that entered becaus they weren't very clear in their wording. I seriously doubt that they just want 'American' winners. And I agree that Daz should be the judges, it is after all their calender and supposed to show the scope of work that can be done with their figures. The idea of a community vote is nice, but far too easy for cliques and the like to take over.

I agree, Caly. We always have complaints of ballot stuffing for free things like the Hot 20....why would a calendar contest be any different? Glad to hear that the prize is something decent. It will be interesting to see the results...I just hope it is a mix of techniques and not just a year of Vickys in the temple. ;)

grin I doubt it will be the ever popular NVIATWAIS on every page... unless they're doing a swimsuit/playboy calendar? ;) Actually it seems pretty tough to get into the Daz monthly galleries, and they have chosen diverse images for their gallery picks, so I am hopeful. :)
