My turn to be touch by the matrix virus. So here is the sentinel model I'm working on, Still need to build the "mouth" and add some details. I'm not sure about the texture.. I will try something more dirty. Comments and critics are welcome! Cheers

That's excellent. Was it made in bryce?

wow!!! this is an amazing model!! really, this looks professional, like straight out of the movie--i cant beleive this is a WIP, looks more than perfect to me.

Excellent pidjy! This looks so like the Sentinels in the movie. Well done young man.................8) Catlin

Incoming calamari!!! Nicely done. I am picturing the scene in Reloaded where the squid pins down the two women with the rocket launcher...it seems to me there was a lot of "mechanical stuff" going on on the front of that bugger...probably your "mouth" details. Brilliant stuff this!!

What the....!!!!!!!!!!???????? WOW..... That is some freakin' nice modeling work Pidjy. Just plain awesome. 8) Wade

I agree with Jordan--this doens't look at all like a WIP! Great job with the modelling. Texture looks good too--maybe a bit more reflection, but I don't have a reference in front of me, so you may be right on.

Is it OK to be this jealous of someone's talent? Stunning work, Pidjy!

I think tha's ok tjohn, I've been jealous of pidjy's talent since I first met him. 8)

pidjy ( ) posted Fri, 14 November 2003 at 3:10 AM

blaaaaaaaaah!!!!!!!!! thank you for so kind comments! (blushing) It's not a question of talent here, just a little patience and that little voice in my head that said " just do it" or maybe it's my shoes that said it.. LOL ! So to answer how I did it.. most of it is made with bryce default imported object ( egg form, rounded cylinder ) a few Carrara for some part of the legs and a lot of boolean operation. The object file is actually allmost 20 meg, I will try to make it lighter and put it as free stuff on my web site ( as soon as I've finished it) cheers
