Subject: Seamless repeating tile/texture

is there any way, in poser 4, 4+propack (with python) or 5 to have tilable/repeated textures over a large surface, for example a primitive such as a box or a plane (to fake a wall), instead of stretched texture all over the surface ? another question is "how do you handle camera indoors ? I mean inside a room or something like that, how do you manage the lights and the camera for posing and such ?"

  1. In P4 & PP, (dunno 'bout P5) the object itself must be UV mapped to be tiled. You can do this with Steve Cox's free version of UVMapper Classic: UV Mapper site Tiling Tute by English Bob Some related threads: Tiling in UVMapper Classic thread by ohman and Steve Cox. Tiling in UV Mapper Pro (at RDNA forum).

Yes, it's easy to do in P5 so long as the object has UV coordiates. In fact, I think it tiles by default. You may have to adjust the U_Scale and V_Scale numbers to get it to tile instead of stretch, but it does work.

Using the cameras indoors is much the same as when you use them the ordinary way and with lights you just have to make sure that they are in the room so that they do cast light properly. It is quite easy.

hmm so as far as i got it , in p5 it can be used by default, but on p4 you need to REMAP the figure/prop, and then due to how you can remind it, it would only work on very basic and plannar mapped things, like a wall or a cube for example, but not a complex think... right ?
