Wow! That looks Great Robert! You mean the file size for poser don't you!? Well i'm used to see my son open files with a dozen props & as many figures without probs... :-) I can see the 'Lucious' marble Stairs, the Exquisite Stained Windows, the walls inlaid with Gold, ... I'm getting excited here! Fitting Palace for a Queen! Marc
No problem here...I agree with everyone else, just place a wari=ning on the file size and it should be fine :) The only other things I can think of to say are W.O.W!!!! and I'm definitely hanging out for this prop! Beautiful work Robert!!! Regards Eshal
I'm a genetically enhanced blonde...what's your excuse? ~Eshal~
Thanks much for your suggestions, especially Viomar. I had in fact minded to to some parts in marble, but the walls with gold, sounds good. What i have checked by the last month's of doing PP2-Files that the where most of the time smaller then the original object-file. Hopefully this comes also to this. I think the ZIP-File would have like 1,8 to 2Megs, because the object had right now 3,07Megs. One more question, because this Prop is really big, the textures must also be big like 3000x3000. Would this be a problem ? SHARKEY
It's always better to have a HiRes Texture to start with! If the user finds it's too big for his/her purposes, they can always "Downsize it"! And from everyone's reply so far! I'd say Go for it! :-) As for my Texturing suggestions, i was watching an old sinbad movie when i saw Your "Masterpiece"... ;-) Regards! Marc
When you have done your texture, test the size of a TIFF in a zip file vs a JPEG. If the size is close enough, a TIFF is better for resizing. One other suggestion: if you use the layer ("[" =hide) function in UVMapper, you can put different materials on different layers and use 2 or 3 or more 1000 x 1000 maps. It would take 9 1000 x 1000 maps to equal the size of one 3000 x 3000
