Well, here's my 2nd WIP on this one. The main structures are mostly finished, but need the odd tweek here and there.

Created entirely in Bryce 5. Cropped in PSP7 (as if you needed to know that)

wow!!! that setup is amazing, just like the original---i wouldnt even know where to start if i made this. excellent!

danamo ( ) posted Tue, 02 December 2003 at 10:47 PM

Amazing! The illusion is almost complete. I would change the hard-edged smoke though. It doesn't seem to be of the same high quality as the rest of the pic. Maybe you could add just that one detail in post.

BOOMER ( ) posted Tue, 02 December 2003 at 11:16 PM

I gotta say, that looks great. Making my eyes bug out. I agree on the smoke, but DAMN, that looks really good Bryster.

I really like this model .Great modelling.I only say one thing about the scale of the stairs.Stairs to code are run=9"-10" and rise= 7" min. =============================================== Though I would take years to model this, I had to say it.MHO

Amazing!

That is just fantastic. Really impressive.

Erlik ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 2:26 AM

No need to add anything except that I'd like a different background as well as a softer smoke. BTW, ever played Diablo? :-)

jaydiva ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 4:30 AM

this is fantastic!! it really looks like the real thing :)) But I'd change that smoke too, looks too strong, sorta painted on. wish i had the skill and patience to do something like this J

shadowdragonlord ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 7:28 AM

Downright awesome, Bryster! Impressive, and it looks like a lot of work, even if we do know the trick, it's still tedious! Good luck adding water, my friend!

PL-Finland ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 9:28 AM

Excellent stuff, lets see the water flow :)

Gog ( ) posted Wed, 03 December 2003 at 11:32 AM

Well thanks for all the C&Cs, guys! I really appreciate everything you've said. The smoke I put in just to see how it might look. For me, it works, but it needs to be better. So if anyone has a better option - smoke-wise - I'd love to hear about it. I promise I'll post the wireframe when I've completed the piece. But I don't know about massive clues....I got me pride ya know? (Actually, I'm with Paul on this one....hehe) I started this on 31st October and did stuff everyday since. I think it'll take at least another month to complete but Christmas is coming etc... Please remember that this belongs to MC Escher. I'm only copying his wonderful art here. So any comments about building codes should be addressed to him...... I see nobody noticed the Satellite dish....????mmmmm??? I think the really hard part is going to be the background. It's full of terraced gardens and there is a lot of detail there. Likewise the garden next to the house....Lord knows how I'm going to build some of those really weird plants. And of course there's the waterfall.....I'm useless at these so pointers would be appreciated, although I am looking through the tuts and stuff. And if your eyes are giving you trouble, think what it's doing/done to my brain..... Shadow: No tricks here, Mate! Just skill and dexterity! LOL (Yeh right!) Once again, thanks for all the comments.
