I hope I don't step over the unwritten line and get this message moved, the update is free, after all... DAZ very kindly let me do an update that basicly puts all the morphs into the OBJ file, as a new starting point, rather than starting from Victoria 3. This makes a much smaller CR2, and even more importantly the joint parameters now work from her real shape, not the standard V3 shape. As a result the clothing will follow the bending of the joints much better, especially important in the legs, where she has the biggest changes from standard V3. I was unhappy with the original setup after doing the pantyhose that is in the French Maid set. Anyway, the upgrade is free, I also updated her dress to include the added JCM, she now has the "neck-turn" morphs that Ingenue Vickie got, plus a bunch of other JCM and morphs. The only problems with previous outfits is the neck JCM, you may have to manually back that off if you get poke through. GV2 will be required for all my future Glamorous Vickie sets, including one (maybe next week) that will show why I wanted a good fit on the clothing! ;-) I plan on matching the update on the French Maid set too, as soon as I get time.

I've downloaded the free update from daz and tried to install it, but I got the error message saying that I don't have the necessary file to update ("missing V3"), when I clearly have both V3 as well as GV in my runtime. Do I have to reinstall V3?

@ JV Renderer:
Same problem here, it is not your fault. I had the same problem with the Shazam installer too.

What exactly is the update for? Thank you, Marque

The update is for the Glamorous Vickie character I sell at DAZ, this actually makes her into a figure, incidently. No idea what the problem is on the installer, though. I suspect it is looking for the V3 OBJ file and possably also the original Glamorous Vickie CR2.

I got that message and ignored it. My install finished and I got GV2. Thanks Jim!!

I thought the promotion was rather confusing at first. With so many options for Vic, it was hard for me to understand what the "requirements" were. All i got was an e-mail with "Free update for vic", well... I have Vic.

Thanks for posting this, Jim, and for doing the update.

Your welcome guys! I tried the update too, to see if it worked, and I got the error message, but nakamuram said, it aparently does actually install the files.

Is GV based on a real-life human being?

Jim Burton ( ) posted Sun, 07 December 2003 at 3:13 PM

Nope, she only exists in my mind! ;-) GV was designed to be less less of a Supermodel though, and more of the Playmate-of-the-month. I tried to keep the body proportions from getting compleatly unrealistic, though, and she does have a bigger chest than most of my girls, too.
