While I was fooling with texture and trans maps for some clothes, I noticed something that seems to help lessen the "shrink-wrapped" look of many Poser clothes. If I made the texture map slightly smaller at some edges than the trans map, the render would should a darkened line around the edge of the clothes where the texture map was just slightly too small. It created a "shadow" effect which can be used to separate the clothes from the figure a little more believably. I'll try experimenting with using greys rather than black on the edges of the trans map and see if that adds anything....
