Subject: Importing House

I have been able to import many Poser figures to vue, however I have been trying to import a .pz3 of Oneman's Realistic House01 without success. After importing the file, it begins loading it and suddenly stops doing it. No errors no messages. Any suggestions?

It probably only seems to stop. It may need 15 minutes or more to import, all depending of the power of your machine. Guitta

Its an HP xw6000 Workstation with 2.4 Xeon and 1GB RAM. I'll leave it and see if it is the time, but the progress bar at the bottom of the screen also disappears.

Happens with certain large models in PZ3 , I have a permanent issue with the Virtual Cathedral if I try to import it as a single PZ3 or OBJ. Importing the model in pieces works fine. One of those VUE thingies, you'll learn to live with them.

MMMMM how do I break the house into pieces?

I have run across this too. In my experience, once the PZ3 file has fully imported, I save it as a VOB. Then it will load with now problems.... Just a suggestion...that is if you can get the dumb thing to import. James

A model like that is made out of parts, in Poser go to the Hierarchy Editor and make only the part you want to export visible, then export that part as OBJ. You'll have to reassemble the building in VUE but that's part of the fun. Btw have you tried exporting the whole model as 3DS, imho VUE has less problems with 3DS when it comes to really large files but there are loads of VUE users who disagree :)

I could import it without problems as OBJ file. Thanks all for the help.
