Hi all here is the latest on Bruenor. I was thinking of changing the reflection maps with a tex of worn metal to give the look of battle worn armor. Also I plan on giving a tex to the shield of a foaming mug, and other textures:). Can anyone tell what those black lines on the helm are from I can get rid of them.Pleeeaaase give comments or suggestions:) thanks btw- For anyone who doesnt know this character from the Forgotten Realms novels, his helm is supposed to be dented and a little crooked:)

Excellent work, this character is really coming along. You've put one hell of a lot of work into this, and it certainly shows. I'm not sure about the lines on the helmet. It could be a smoothing artifact created by Poser. Paul

He looks great, maybe you could do 2 sets of reflection maps, one for the shiny newness look and one for the battle-worn. For the helmet, it could be a case of "degenerate facets" Open up the helmet .obj in uvmapper ( the latest version I think) and hit the key Insert. If there are any such facets uvmapper will repair them, save your model and it should be fine.

heyas; it might be dengerate facets, or it might be just some weird shadow artifacts. to be sure, turn off shadows and render it. if you still get black bits, it's degenerate facets. if not, it's shadow weirdness. um... hmm, don't know how to fix shadow weirdness, sorry. :) if you fix the degenerate facets and re-import the obj and make a prop out of it, then find poser has re-degenerated your facets again, you can get around all that nonsense by having the pp2 point to an obj file. if you have any of zygotes free props, take a look in there to see how they do it.
