Hmm, Well, my numbers are really high usually. Finals and what not sort of don't allow me to go into a huge amount of detail on assembly with diagrams, however... Just think of it as digital clay. You take a bunch of metaballs, replicate them, then randomize and move them around by hand, you can use the control and shift click options to get the right selections of metaballs then simply shift them. I usually use the editor controls at the top as well as randomize. Remember, usually, as water gets further away from the source, it gets more and more dispersed. so randomize more as you get further from the nozel. Hope this helps some. I really don't know exactly how to put it as it's usually just free-style modeling untill it looks right.
I did have a post that showed some general diagrams a while back. You might also want to take a look at the mini tutorial under my Explosion image, and the post related to that. As it has a long description concerning how the commet tail was created, which is very similar to how I do the water, only in reverse direction.

I need some detailed metaball info and maybe some illustrations, I've been over the old threads, especially Ornlu's, and only gleaned a tiny bit of insight as to how to create the water effects, if I can see detailed images of assembly, number used, settings I'm sure I can take it from there....anyone know of a good tutorial on these critters....?
