Not for raw organic modeling. Thats my personal opinion. If I were in the market for a "Modeler" to create organic characters I would look into Rhino. http://www.rhino3d.com The modeler in Carrara is good but there are better. The price also climbs when going to a higher end modeler. I think Rhino is in the $700.00 - $900.00 range..Not 100% sure on that but its up there. Im sure some of the other members will have differing opinions. Clint

Probably the best price you will find for Rhino is at http://www.dvdirect.com/ If you are a student it is only about $160. You need to send a copy of your student ID or class schedule to get the discount. I have heard that it doesn't matter what kind of class you are taking, you just have to be a student.

I need to know, is Carrara good for modeling creatures and objects? I'm getting Carrara soon and would like to model some creatures for my renders. Does anyone here get good results with it for modeling?
