Subject: Anyone have any tips for faster hair dynamics calcs for animations?

I have been calculating dynamics on a 3 group hair piece for about a 10 to 11 second animation. I started yesterday about 5pm. Is there any way to speed this up. I am still on hair group 2, so looks like this will actually take a couple of days. Also everything looks good in animation except my characters feet and twisting. I used preset poses about every 30 frames and interpolation. I did turn of ik chains. Is that what the problem is? Only the feet are twisting and knarling..nothing else?? Thanks for your help. For the feet, open the keyframe sheet and look at the animation curves of the feets' parameters. The default spline interpolation can cause unwanted inter/extrapolation of animation, so you probably want to switch one or the other keyframe to linear or break spline mode. About the hair calculations, the follwing things can accelerate the process: * reduce the number of verts per hair * reduce the total number of hairs * switch off collision detection wherever possible * uncheck "show polulated"
