Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 28 6:42 am)
To a degree I agree when it comes to clothing. But sometimes it canreally make the clothes into a whole new model, so it depends. If it's more or less just hue shifts I don't see the point. Hair is another matter. Some hairsets are only hue shifts. If I want that I can make it myself :o) But also some hair texturesets are really DIFFERENT in the various colours and in that case, it's really an enhancement of the base model. I'm not sure I've ever bought any of the sets you mention so that part of the question will have to be unanswered from me :o)

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

I must confess that I have seen a lot of these sorts of packs where the textures are actually just all over patterns in differnt hues. I would be reluctant to buy a large number texture set because if I can afford a set of say, 20 textures for a single item then they are bound to be simple patterns I could make myself. I guess it is just that some people define 'texture' a lot more loosly than me!
Actually, I have. I needed a whole bunch of clothing for a demo, retelling Cinderella in 6 screens, with only a couple of weeks to get it together. Not my idea (and I burned out badly over the lack of sleep and extreme pressure). Anyway, the ballroom scene required a LOT of dresses and Symphony's textures for the P4 formal worked just fine. I didn't use all of them, but desperately needed the selection. Carolly

Whenever I see items in the marketplace with titles like "N textures for X" where N is a big number and X is some clothing item, I always wonder who actually wants, 30, 50, 99 textures for the same item. I guess that generally you buy the set for three of them and the rest is wastage. Personally, I prefer to make my own textures instead. Anyway, let's do a poll - for those who have bought any of these big textures sets, what's the most number you've actually used out of them?
