Hmmmm
Has anyone seen this....
http://shade.e-frontier.co.jp/en/gallery/index.html

These images are created using the path tracer renderer from E Frontier...the new owners of Poser.
I have to say that this renderer is one of the very best I have ever seen.(Including Maya...Lightwave etc...)
They have a great spline modeling program as well...this could be very good for the future of Poser.
Shade is one of the biggest 3d apps in Asia ...and the next version is in English.
Interesting...especially as they are the new parent company of Poser.
Cheers

Shade used to be promoted on metasequoia's download page. I see Mismo has updated his page as of December 15 to include the Metasequoia apps that were in beta most of the year, and he has removed the link to Shade. Interesting.

The renderer in shade is good - but it is not particularly superior to the current state of the art in Max (mental ray). I suspect Lightwave woudl compete well too.

While we are speaking of renderers, Bryce's renderer doesn't lag much behind the hugely more expensive programs. The only major problem is speed. And it currently costs less than myShade. :-P
