Subject: I submitted items to Renderosity...where are they?

KidsAmerica ( ) posted Mon, 12 January 2004 at 1:30 PM · edited Tue, 18 February 2025 at 8:31 PM

Hello Good Renderosity Staff, Perhaps one of you talented management folks could assist me. Last week I uploaded a sale item to begin my Renderosity store. My handle here is KidsAmerica and my item is called "Snapper's Luna". It was uploaded overnight 1-8-04. According to your submission information, I was under the impression that you would send me an email, or notify me here at Renderosity within 12 hours that you received my sales item submission and are processing my request. But I have yet to hear from you. I am concerned because on Christmas Eve I submitted a graphical image "Winter Monitor" (If I recall the exact name accurately) to begin my personal gallery. That was 3 weeks ago and I also have not heard from you regarding that submission. Is it normal for Renderosity member submitters to be left in the dark for so long? Is there some problem with my submissions? Did I do something wrong? How can I clear this up so that I know what is going on with my submissions? I really want my submissions to be online so that I can submit more items for both my online store and my art gallery. But of course I cannot until I know that I'm not submitting my items to a big deep black hole...lol. It takes me about 8 hours to submit an item, so this represents a major endeavor for me. I hope you can understand why I feel concerned now. I love it here at Renderosity. I feel at home here...at least between the members and myself. I'd really appreciate it if a member of Renderosity management could contact me. Thankyou Gentlemen and Gentlewomen. With All Due Respect, Kids >>>

Hi Kids, I dont show anything from you in the Testing queue. It sounds like you are confusing your Store with Free Stuff. I chedcked the Free Stuff pending section and wasnt able to locate anything either. So, I'm a little confused. Can you please provide more information on the links you are using when uploading. If it is the MarketPlace (your Store) I can work with you to make sure the upload completes. Let me know. Clint

Hi Clint, Well actually I find it immensely confusing on finding the store upload links. I've actually wanted to upload materially many times during the past 4 months, but I usually get so frustrated along the route I just end up closing my browser window somewhere along the way and give up...egads...what a wimp you're gonna say. Haaha...don't worry, I deserve it I'm sure. A couple weeks ago I was trying to upload an image and the file size was a few bytes too large, so I was taken to an error page and when I backspaced all the info I had entered into that description/file page was replaced with blank text boxes...ouch. But last week, I think I followed this link off my Homepage http://www.renderosity.com/homepage.ez, by clicking a text box within brackets above my Homepage image called "Upload Store Item" http://market.renderosity.com/merchant.ez?Upload=Yes. On that page it is titled KidsAmerica's Store Accounting and this script follows: MarketPlace Upload Step 1 What kind of product would you like to sell in the marketplace? Digital (Products in the form of downloadable files) Shippable (Tangible products such as CD's or merchandise) ...And so I select the DIGITAL products in the form of downloadable files line.

I was then taken to: MarketPlace Upload Step 2 (Digital) http://market.renderosity.com/MarketUpload.ez?UploadDigital=Yes In the mean time I went through a tremendous amount of reading...about copyrights, trademarks and rules and restrictions...I read many messages in the forums dedicated to the subjects of Renderosity Marketing... I made a page for information as is required with all the data there including file name and location and size, and description of how to install it. Then at the bottom of this page I filled out the form and submitted it. Everything seemed ok. I received no error messages. :( And that's all I did. Was there something I did wrong?

Hi kids, SOunds perfect to me. After you upload your ZIP file you should get a message saying Upload recieved OK. If you want to try it again and let me know when it finishes I can check to make sure it worked OK. Clint

Well...I guess if it is not in the upload list that you look at, I suppose it isn't anywhere. Frustrating as it is, I'll try uploading again now. I'll let you know when it says I'm complete. Here goes... :)

Clint, I was just taken to this following page http://market.renderosity.com/MarketUpload.ez?Action=Complete Product File Upload Received OK Thanks for adding your product. I was also taken to that same page on my previous attempt. So I hope whatever happened last time doesn't happen again. Of course I have you guiding me and my product this time so I do feel more confident now. :)

Kids, I dont know how I missed it but I just saw the product in the testing queue that you uploaded on Jan 9, 2004. I removed the one uploaded yesterday since it was the same as the original upload. It can take up to 7 days for testing. You will receive notification via E-Mail if it has any problems or is released into the MarketPlace. I'm very sorry that you had to re-upload the product. Clint

Oh, while I've got your ear...lol...anyway you can see what happened to my Gallery item? I uploaded it on or about Christmas Eve...roughly 3 weeks ago. I've received no notification about that either. I can't recall exactly what I uploaded it as...but it was something like Metal Winter, Winter Monitor, or Alien Winter Monitor. The file name is "Metal Winter". If you can find out what happened to that submission, I'd appreciate it, Clint. Thanks. I wanted to start my gallery and I have many images to upload, but if I can't even get one uploaded...well...here we go again...lol Thank you. : )
