Here's a little secret - the BUM file is really just BMP in disguise. If you rename it to BMP you can use it as a bump map by opening up the materials editor for the texture map (once it's in Vue) then selecting the "bump" tab. After that it's just a matter of editing the bump material from procedural to mapped. Play around with the bump filters, etc, to get the look you want and you're all set. MOST of the maps, etc, that I've downloaded always include either a bmp, tif or jpg image for Poser to convert to the bum format. If you have those files, you can just go ahead and use them flat out without bothering to convert from bum. Just have to tell Vue what to use in your bump settings. Just remember to start with a null bump (that nice smooth gray ball or cube)and work from there. Kate

Hello, So, uh, could someone possibly share their secrets on how to bump Vickey please? Yes, I'm talking about Vue here! I know (I think?) that vue can't read bump maps, but isn't there something else that can be done? Thanks a lotta! Mike PS How does one go about posting a pic to this site?
