Subject: Body Studio - Really worth it?

Hi everyone! I've all ready spent a bunch of cash to try and realize my dream. Yet, I haven't reached my goal making a fully animated movie sequence with maximum texture, light and camera fx in an easy "plug and play" manner. I'm using MAX 5 and Poser 5 right now and the reason I upgraded to Poser 5 was that I naturally thought that the "MAX to Poser"-plugin was included since the Pro Pack had it. Feeling a bit fooled, but not at all angry, I now ask you pros out there if it's actually worth it to buy yet another application called Reiss Body Studio in order to make my dream come true in an easier way? I can with great ease animate in Poser and I've got no problems with texturing, lights and camera. I really know my way around MAX but I can't model human models... or rather, don't have the time... Does really Body Studio deliver? No bugs or glitches? Best regards Jacko of Shameworks

I'm in your same boat. I also pre-ordered Poser 5 and was counting on the promised 3rd party plugins. Now Body Studio seems like a very nice plugin, it has garnered very good reviews from 3D World and other magazines. I'm hoping the future release lets you import the Poser figure into Max instead of just hosting Poser content inside of Max, that's when I will really jump onboard. Or maybe Curious Labs could be bright enough to develop a free FBX plugin. That will probably get people jumping up and down and burn past hatches with the company. I would certainly be satisfied and feel the promissed 3rd party plugins were finally delivered.
