Subject: Voluptuous Vicky or Victoria Vogue ???

AlteredKitty ( ) posted Mon, 26 January 2004 at 6:37 PM · edited Fri, 17 January 2025 at 8:28 AM

With Wyrmaster's imminent departure from the store, I'd like some advice on which of these two products you'd recommend/prefer: "Voluptuous Vicky 2003" or "Victoria Vogue 2003" I definitely want "Steffy Stax 2003" and can only get one other item as well. Opinions gratefully received :) ali x

Why not one of the 2004 models? Veronika Vixxxen or Cherry Charming? They are only $5 more than the 2003 models, and well worth it.

I have "Sarah Spriteling" from DAZ and fancied one of the older models as I've seen great renders with them - I love their faces in particular.

I have Victoria Vogue, and I'm very happy with her. You're right, she does have a very pretty face.

Now that you mention it, I like the older models' faces better. I think that's why I didn't buy Sarah Spriteling. The face was too doll-like for my taste. Victoria Vogue, as her name suggests, has a face more like a supermodel. More human-looking, to my eye. Inhumanly beautiful, maybe, but still more human-looking. :-)

Thank you :) I think I prefer her too so I'm off to shop :) ali

Veronika Vixxxen or Cherry Charming would be my choice. I have Veronikka Vixxen and Victoria Vogue. Veronika is much more "adjustable" than Victoria Vogue. There is no point in buying the older characters.

randym77 ( ) posted Mon, 26 January 2004 at 8:46 PM

Hey, that's what I said in my first post. And I'm thinking of buying Cherry Charming myself. Remote Control Deformers! (Does Sarah Spriteling have Remote Control Deformers?) But she said she preferred the faces of the older characters. (Someone else posted that recently, too, actually.) The older characters are also compatible with V1 and V2, while the 2004 models only work with V3, so that might be another reason to choose them instead. And has anyone heard where the Steph Petite magnet set will be sold?

I believe that the SP3 Petite Deformer Kit will be sold at DAZ.

I tried Vixen with SP3. Here are my reults. I think I can do better. The breasts really need tweaking.

randym77 ( ) posted Mon, 26 January 2004 at 11:20 PM

I like S3 better than V3. If the S3 kit will be sold at DAZ, maybe I'll just wait and get that one. I bet it will be fantastic.

I don't see any reason Veronika can't be used on Steph, same mesh. Load V3, add mags, spawn mags, Morph Manager to SP3. Maybe half value of mags for Steph, just like you do with the V3 morphs to SP3. It worked with VV2003. I figured that out trying to get her to work in Daz Studio. If there is a SP3 version soon I'll buy it. I'm sure it would work smoother and/or save time. I have 3 products, so what's another one when they work so well.

The faces aren't a big issue - you can put any face you like on any of these characters. The issue is getting the deformer tools.

Humm, says in the message that he's taking a sabbatical, although his website says she will be out I wonder. On the one hand he says he's leaving because someone reverse-engineered his idea but on the site it looks like he will continue. Who's to say? Bet he's made a ton of sales though because folks don't want to lose out on the chance to buy them before they are gone. I bought most of them and am off to get the Steph Styles now. I found that the face doesn't matter as you can change it. I mainly wanted to have the ability to put in more than one with the option of different clothes and body shapes. Stephy Stax is great, you will like her. I found that Voluptuous Vicky has a different shape than Cherry or the other two, which is why I got her as well. It's a tough call, wish he would be more clear as to whether or not he will ever sell them again. Marque

I like Steph Petite so much that I'm really not buying much V3 stuff any more. I'm lazy, so I don't want to mess with Morph Manager and whatnot if I don't have to. And I'd rather buy from DAZ than anywhere else, given a choice. Just because they've always done right by me, and offer a 30-day money back guarantee. (Not that I expect to use it in this case.) As for the face - yes, I know you can put any face you want on the characters. But part of the package is deformers for the face. That's what Lilybelles wanted, that pretty VV face. You can't achieve it by spinning the dials. So considering the face when picking a product is perfectly reasonable. I dunno, I suspect this a gender thing. I'm female, and from her nick, so is Lilybelles. We're probably more likely to look at a woman's face than her chest. ;-)

I prefer Vicky Vogue's body shape to any of the others, even the newer ones. But then that's just my personal preference. :) I think she is very shapely without being extreme. VV and Veronia are too endowed and Cherry too narrow-hipped for my tastes. And while the endowments can be adjusted, in Veronica's case, at least, it leaves an odd crease under her breasts.

I believ wyrmmaster said in a post on a gallery image that Amy Alps for Steph3 had been uploaded to the marketplace and just had to pass testing. Hopefully she will come out any day now.

Marque ( ) posted Tue, 27 January 2004 at 11:10 AM

If he uploads a file hope it's soon if he's closing his store on the 31st. And if he's not closing his store my husband is going to kill me because that's how I justified buying these characters, because they won't be available anymore. Marque

Marque ( ) posted Tue, 27 January 2004 at 11:13 AM

I am also female, and I also like the face more, but I also like the idea of creating a group of females with different faces and the ability to put different clothing that will fit, that's why I wanted these characters. And yes, Voluptous Vickie's face is much prettier than the faces for the 2004 characters. Marque

Connatic ( ) posted Tue, 27 January 2004 at 7:30 PM

Veronika Vixxxen is fantastic. It is very simple to alter the bust size to your preferences. The Dynamic Deformers are the best part of the package. You definitely want those!

soulhuntre ( ) posted Tue, 27 January 2004 at 7:37 PM

I picked up Cherry - it's a really useful shaping set.

nakamuram ( ) posted Tue, 27 January 2004 at 8:04 PM

Sorry about forgetting the nudity flag everyone! Wyrmmaster has posted renders of his new SP3 character in his gallery. Using Vixxen on SP3 was just a wild idea on my part. My experiment does not resemble his character in any way. The Vixxen deformers are way out of position for that. Daio, adjusting the lower PecLow remotes may help get rid of the creases.

randym77 ( ) posted Tue, 27 January 2004 at 8:17 PM

I saw the pics in his gallery. He's calling her "Amy Alps." For obvious reasons. Two of 'em. ;-) It does sound like he's going to be selling it in the RMP. I wonder if that means he's changed his mind about closing his store? Then again, maybe not. He's calling it a beta version. Because he doesn't have time to do a finished version? The announcements that his store will be closing at the end of the month are still up.
