Subject: Software to create 3d meshes from photos

I found this link while looking for something else. It claims to be able to create a 3D mesh from an object photographed at different angles. There's very little in the way of graphics to show what was done, so I'd be leery buying it even though the price is reasonable.

I've tried several of this type of program, and they're either very hard to use, or very expensive. I'd also be leery of anything without a trial version.

At $15.95, if it worked, it would be a bestseller!

Looks interesting, but I agree....why no pictures of what the software can do?

But there *are* pictures. (See link)

Though I've got to admit that the comments on the bottom are funny because none of them are by anybody that's used the product. I'd be worried about any software product that used this quote as promotional material, "I was speaking with a student of mine today and he showed me a blurb on your products. Very interesting indeed..."

I tried looking at the demos, but whenever I click on one to see the finished product, the picture has a broken link. Bummer...

I don't know... I'm pretty sceptical about it.
