This is one seriously cool set! Even Calyndriel likes! She's off to change into her victorian clothing! (Steph would go too, but she hasn't any...)

thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

sparrowheart ( ) posted Thu, 29 January 2004 at 7:48 AM

How did you know I was reading currently about Jack the Ripper?!!!! Excellent, excellent idea and product! YAY!!! Kimberly

sparrowheart ( ) posted Thu, 29 January 2004 at 8:08 AM

Any chance of a ("dark, Satanic") Victorian cotton mill later? This awesome new set conjures up all kinds of visions -- from Dickens to Mayhew and beyond. Huge compliments on the super-detailed textures too!! This was just the kind of original product offering to get the old creative juices flowing again. Many, many thanks, Team DNA!

ChuckEvans ( ) posted Thu, 29 January 2004 at 10:09 AM

Any chances of some closeup renders to show detail? (you guys...well, Judith, anyway...grin...should know me by now)

jade_nyc ( ) posted Thu, 29 January 2004 at 11:53 AM

I'm renting 'From Hell' again for inspiration for this set! lol There is an abysmal lack of Victorian clothing out there though - clothing makers make us some dynamite clothes to go with this awesome set! Please, please, pretty please....

nikitacreed ( ) posted Thu, 29 January 2004 at 11:54 AM

WOW! Thanks everyone! I hope that you all like it! joffry - Hope ya enjoy it darlin! ookami - THANK YOU! =OD Sparrowheart - A girl after my own heart! I have turned into something of an amateur Ripperologist myself! (Very amateur mind you. LOL!) I will see what Chris and Judith think about a darker kind of cotton mill! That sounds quite cool! Chuck - There are more preview renders under the Whitechapel Mega Pak in the store if ya want to take a look! Of course...I am probably stating the obvious to you. heh ! I will get my Poser back up to speed (lost my personal drive the other day) and post ya some more renders as soon as I can...unless Judith beats me to it. ;o) -Em

DAZ has a dress set by Dark Whisper and another by AptrilYSH, PoserWorld has the missionary's daughter set, and of course there's no end of corsets. PhilC has some older style suits. Ummmm....

jade_nyc ( ) posted Thu, 29 January 2004 at 1:22 PM

okay checking DAZ now - many thanks RHaseltine!

nikitacreed ( ) posted Thu, 29 January 2004 at 1:47 PM

Ooooh, thanks, Judith...I stuffed it in the cart (which, since I've not found a wishlist at RDNA, I use as a wishlist when for when I get some money). It looks great! And that's a particularly nasty and dirty hand rail in one pic...LOL!

nomuse ( ) posted Fri, 30 January 2004 at 12:56 AM

Oh, thanks for this! I was talking several months back about Victorian-era scenes, and everyone agreed that the lack of a good basic street set was the biggest problem. I hope this sparks a lot of intriguing renders!

Crescent ( ) posted Fri, 30 January 2004 at 7:13 AM

I hope you know the only reason I haven't bought this yet is because I have too much work to do and I know I won't get it done if I have this set! (Though I have popped over a few times to drool over the previews.) OTOH, this will be my reward for surviving the week. :) Cheers!

nikitacreed ( ) posted Fri, 30 January 2004 at 3:32 PM

You are most welcome nomuse! I really hope that you enjoy it! Crescent - I hear that! LOL! Good luck darlin! I hope all that work doesn't stress you out too badly. ;o) -Em

dialyn ( ) posted Fri, 30 January 2004 at 3:35 PM

I got the whole darn set. I really must stop buying in bulk. Now I have to find where I stuck that Hanson cab. Great work!!!

nikitacreed ( ) posted Fri, 30 January 2004 at 3:54 PM

Thanks darlin! =OD
