Subject: importing .3ds files into P5

I can't import a .3ds file into P5, I don't even get the option. I just deleted my P4 directory, was there something in P4 that P5 needed?

P5 should import 3ds files without poser 4 installed, have you tried loading the 3ds file into any other programs? I think that some of the newer version 3ds files don`t work too well with some programs. If you have an object conversion program then you could convert it to a wavefront object and then import it to poser 5.

I just don't have the import option anymore to import a .3ds format. The import pulldown, just doesn't look right. All other programs are exporting and importing correctly.

That looks strange, I hope you didn`t delete a part of poser 5 even by accident? It looks like you will have to reinstall whatever happened, sorry.
