Subject: Inverting in the DTE?

I'm trying to make something in the DTE. Sparse RND Lines is just what I need, but it is always black on white, and I need white on black (in the alpha channel). I've tried filters, but I just get black on grey. What do I need to do an inversion?

Maybe just try and change your color nodes to invert it?

Do atleast one thing a day that scares the hell outta ya!!

Several of the filters can do an alpha channel inversion - I usually use the (X pwr a)+b. Image above shows one way to invert the alpha channel. Note if the color button is on you'll invert the colors as well so you may want to copy the component (by dragging to a new slot) and setting it just to alpha and turning off the alpha in the color component, with a parellel blend between the two. Dan, this solves my problem perfectly. Thank you so much for your help. I still have so much to learn about the DTE!
