I read the messages here about possibly reconstructing the HiRes Man with just the head conversion. As you can see here, it's not very effective. The difference in resolution is a dead givaway, and shows a "Frankenstien" type of effect. Not sure if this could be resolved, but anyone with suggestions is welcome. Comments please?

Try it with the neck too and see if that works.

Also, is it possible to do only PART of the neck like the upper part so that the mesh meets with an identical number of vertices at both ends thus ending the "Frankenstien" effect. The upside is that we would be able to get a smooth transition. The downside is, we would lose any neck morphs done so far but I would gladly redo mine. What do you think of the name Adam? smile

Sounds like that might work. I know I would make good use of it. Making new morph targets would have more detail to work with (making a klingon forehead comes to mind). Dave

That's exactly how I applied the Millinium couples heads to the P4 bodies in creating Bobby, Paul and Polly- By making a new neck where the upper part has more vertices (polys) to match where it meets the head, yet leaving the lower part so it matches the chest.
