Yup. I use it with the Big ED. The VH2000 has a height adjustment on it. I had to extend it to full height, but it works. Because of the grip's height, the shoe of the VH2000 only sits about 1.5"-1.75" above the height of the on camera hotshoe. But with the off-camera cord on it, that moves the hot shoe for your flash to about 3.5"-4.5" or so above the top of the lens (depending on lens). I've used it without problems with the following lenses: Canon 28-135m f/3.5-5.6 IS (72mm filter ring) Canon 70-200mm F/2.8 IS (77mm filter ring) Sigma 28-200mm f/3.5-5.6 (72mm filter ring) Tamron 28-105mm f/2.8 (82mm filter ring) Found changing focal length with Tamron and VH2000 to be a little awkward, but I think that was more where Tamron placed the ring along the barrel. Just felt weird to me. -=>Donald
Cool. Thanks Donald for the help. Picking up my camera and grip Wednesday. Finally, been waiting forever and then some. How do you like the 28-135 IS? I got mine a couple weeks ago but haven't tried it out yet. I figured I could wait another week and get used to both at the same time. But the new toys will get quite a workout.

Donald, I believe you posted that you use the stroboframe bracket VH2000 with your 10D. I was wondering if you are using the BG-ED3 battery grip on your 10D and if you are is it compatible with this bracket? I took a look at it think I would like it far more than the one I have now. Thanks Doug :)
