PRO PACK -- KEY FEATURES Using new plug-ins included in the Poser Pro Pack, Poser 4 will be able to share character animation, figure bending, scene and key frame data for integration within LightWave 6 and 3D Studio Max R3 -- two of the most widely recognized professional 3D applications. Web developers looking to include photo realistic 3D object and 3D character content will be able to export Metastream 3 files. For web-deployable 2D content, the Poser Pro Pack will export vector converted Flash animations from any Poser scene. The Poser Pro Pack also includes Poser 4 updates, interface improvements and features such as: multiple view ports of a scene, motion blur for final rendered animations and Python scripting environment controls. "extracted from Curious Labs" I believe that it is worth the trouble, but, it does not agree to wait for version 5?

I will not buy this version. As I do not have LW6 and neither 3DS-R3 and Metastream is not needed for now, I do not see the need.

If the python scripting taps into the environment and they give us enough power the scripting would be worth it. Imagine a new category in freestuff called Python scripts full of special FX, animation helpers, data manipulation helpers, procedural functions like creating randomly populated scenes quickly, render filters for turning off the smooth shading or adding new shading etc.. 3d studio's versatility went up orders of magnitude when they put in their script language allowing even a no brainer to write plugins and modify objects. Hoepfully Curious Labs will make the function access library powerful enough to tap into poser's underlying system. Python itself is pretty powerful utilizing OOP objects and list management. I'll definitly get this and may not buy Poser 5. With each release of Poser, the figures get revamped and I have to start all over again. Vickie and Millenium man have not been too impressive for me to warrent revamping all my characters. I'd hate to have to redo everything yet again.
