Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 10 10:00 pm)
Have you compared the bad PZ3 to other good PZ3's in an editor? You should be able to fix the bad line that way. Or, did you try resaving the bad PZ3 under a new name, after you located the missing files?

Hi ockham,
Thanks...I did check the PZ3 file and the pathnames refering to "camera.obj" seemed correct ("runtime:geometries: ... :camera.obj").
I also saved the file under a new name and the problem persisted.
As I mentioned, I didn't have any problems working with the file (adding figures to it, rendering, etc.) even when I ignored poser's prompt to locate the missing file. I'm guessing "camera.obj" corresponds to the on-screen representations of the cameras but even they appear normal.
Well, those were the only things I could think of. You're right that the "camera.obj" is the icon that looks like a camera. Could it be something that comes just before the camera line in the file? Maybe a filename or part name that has way too many characters?

I was working on a scene today when suddenly Poser started saying "Please locate camera.obj..." whenever I would open the file.
As far as I can tell the scene continues to work properly whether I point Poser to the camera.obj file in geometries/cameras or tell it not to look for any more missing files. Also other PZ3 files load without any errors.
Maybe I have a corrupt PZ3 or maybe it's just Poser Bug #12,356 but I was just wondering if anyone else had this error.
Thanks.
