I am finally getting around to playing with Vue. I am having a lot of problems. I have looked through the book and found some answers, but some things that happen just do not make sense. Sometimes, when I drop an opject it lands on the object below as it should. Then I will drop another object and it will fall right through and land way too low. Sometimes I can rotate an object OK, and the next object rotates around a huge axis. Sometimes I can resize an object OK, then the next object will not resize right. I pull smaller and the object gets bigger. All of this can happen in the same scene. If an object works in the scene, it always works. If it doesn't it never does. It seems as thought the objects that do not work will ussually be outside the bounding box when selected. (See the image). I am really starting to hate the program! Can anyone tell me why this happens. I did go to the e-on website to the FAQ and Knowledge Base. Talk about a worthless help system! I am sorry, and do not mean to sound negative, but days and days of this are wearing me down. Thanks in advance!

Which version of Vue are you using?

In Vue 4.2:

Sometimes, when I drop an opject it lands on the object below as it should.
Then I will drop another
object and it will fall right through and land way too low.

Objects land on only visible objects. If the object below is hidden, then it won't effect a dropped object.

Sometimes I can rotate an object OK, and the next object rotates around a huge axis.

This is caused by the pivot point. Reset the pivot point.

Sometimes I can resize an object OK, then the next object will not resize right. I pull smaller and the object gets bigger.

Zoom in or out (ctrl-plus and ctrl-minus) in order to get Vue's resize control to work correctly.

As far as objects not rotating or moving correctly..check the pivot postion...I found all these problems where solved by putting in all zeros. This made all impotered items act correctly.

Fairly redundant answer in view of the preceeding, but reset the pivot points I say :)

Thank you for the replies! I had already tried the pivot point reset idea, but it did not help. Tonight, through experimentation, I figured out that if I un-check the box that says 'Group as single meshes' the object imports OK, and behaves as you would expect. I am not sure why, but I deleted all the objects that misbehaved and reloaded with the box un-checked and they all work now. Thanks again!
