Subject: Dynamic Hair and Gravity

How do I get Dynamic Hair to behave as if Gravity is pulling it downward? I had assumed that it does this automatically, but I am wrong. I see a Gravity Dial in the Hair Room, but have no idea what settings to use, or what else needs to be adjusted to get the hair to fall like real hair.

This is a great question! I'm just now experimenting with Dynamic hair and wondered the same thing.

Try reducing the "Bend Resistance." cheers, dr geep ;=]

All the tutorials I find are about MAKING the hair. I am more concerned with USING the hair! I am sure if this question is answered it will help a lot of P5 users. And the small but growing number of vendors making Dynamic Hair may find more buyers if we can get the hair working to our needs without months of experimentation.

Thanks, dr geep! I will try that. I am so in the dark about the DHair - does the Gravity affect it automatically, or do I need to do something to get this working? So far the tuts I find just confuse me.

Hi Connatic, Gravity? ... yes! Try using the default values except reduce the "Bend Resistance." ;=]

Thank gosh that someone knows how to do it! I second the need for a good Hair Using tutorial - what's with the wind thing for example? I have certainly not been able to blow any hair anywhere!
