I'm more known for my photography, but every now and again i do sit in bed at night and just start writing. This is something i wrote a couple of months ago, i don't know why this came into my mind, but i'm sure most of you know, when you get an idea nad you start writing you just keep going. I didn't re-edit it, it's exactly how i wrote it. I'd appreciate all your thoughts on it and also if you have any suggestions to improve it. Voices of Silence Sounds of death are carried by the wind, Screams, pain and suffering. Empty streets, stained with the blood of the innocent. Shells of bullets lie in their thousands, still warm from the massacre. Bullet graffiti sprayed on the walls, leaving holes and cracked stone. Fires still burning, in houses and cars, Even the pile of corpses continue to burn. Clouds of smoke darken the surroundings, on a day that saw so many die. A girl sits and cries as she holds the hand of her dead mother. Dust settling on her tears, drying them up and leaving treacles of blackness on her youthful face. Her clothes soaked in her mothers blood. All she can do is mourn the loss of her loved ones. The dust begins to settle, leaving the streets and homes covered in a snow like ash, as though the city has also lost its life it now shows no colour and reflects the tragedy which has past. The distant laughter of soldiers is all that can be heard. The lost and helpless little girl stays hidden behind her mothers body listening till they have gone. There's nothing now. She is alone. All she has left to comfort her, Are voices of silence. If it gets any good attention i'll probably submit it in my gallery. Thanks in advance Cheers Chris
