Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Feb 05 2:05 am)
not to sound rude or anything SWAMP, but that dont answer my question lol. I cant seem to get Poser to even open it, much less apply textures. I cant find them on the Poser library tab on the right, and when i try to import it, the files wont show up in the selection box due to the fact that it isnt pz3, obj, 3ds, or the like, just pz2, however i know that pz2 is a poser file, i just dont know how to get Poser 5 to open it.
No it DOES answer your question! It is a self-extracting file that installes into Poser. It installes an obj into the geometry folder (that's a Poser file). It installes a cr2 into the figure library (that's a Poser file). It installes a pz2 into the pose library (that is a Poser file). If you go to your figure library, you will see a folder named Pretty 3d Free Article...CLICK ON IT.. it will look something like this.....
Silverwolf, make sure when you unzipped the folder to your install that you had "use folder names" ticked in the Extract dialogue. If you don't use this then the items will just be floating around in the top level folder where you can't get at them.

This is an articulate prop -- it is a character, and appears in the Character library, not the Props Library. You cannot import a pz2 file -- it is a pose settings file.
thou and I, my friend, can, in the most flunkey world, make, each of us, one non-flunkey, one hero, if we like: that will be two heroes to begin with. (Carlyle)

I have Poser 5 and I downloaded Pretty3D's Posable Speaker and Poseable Lights from the Free Stuff section. However, I cant seem to get them to install properly or something because I cant add them from the library and I have no idea how to import them because they are not .obj files or pz3 or poser 1 library files...they are installed as .pz2 files which for some reason i cant seem to open. Please help. Jim
