This won't answer your question about Sigma 70-300. OTOH, since you seem to be a recent arrival, there are some recent threads in the Photography forum that may help you to identify the e--l d---s ... ooopppps ... I meant to say "participants" here ... My little corner.... http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12379&Form.ShowMessage=1670886 to continue MY LITTLE CORNER... any more cribs out there to post??? http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12379&Form.ShowMessage=1676511 If you search the archives, and trip over a thread with the phrase "dead things" ... just be careful. Vegi - Depens on where "local" is. I know B&H Photo and Video in NY has it on their site for $209 (for the APO version). Seen it down to as much as $159. That worries me. I mean, Sigma lenses are generally more affordable but a 70-300 with all the goodies the they list for it and under $200. *shrug* Who knows. Anyway, link to B&H Site is above. -=>Donaldon that site they have the macro super 2 and the zoom macro super 2. the macro is 149 and the macro zoom is 209. They even have a picture of the lense with the red stripe, which is cool since other places don't. Thanks a lot for the link DHolman Hopefully they get it instock soon... Spring is starting here, and the birds, dear, squirrels, chipmunks, racoons, bees, etc are all out just waiting for me to take their picture :)

I've seen some nice shots of wildlife (birds, squirrels, etc) with this lense, but when I go online I can only find Sigma 70-300 Macro Zoom Super, not Super 2. From the research I did the Super 2 is suppose to have a red stripe around it, come with a hood, and case. The Super has a gold ring around it and isn't as good? None of the local camera shops have it either. Any leads on a place to find this thing at? Or maybe one in the same price range with equivalant performance or better? Thanks in advance for any help.
