Hiyas! I want to introduce myself as the new moderator for this forum. Believe me, Edgenet is very interested in helping to improve your community. Post your ideas here and we can discuss them. A little about me. I'm a software developer here at Edgenet. (yes, one of the bad guys :) I took over as lead developer for Bondware and the EASE platform when Roy (fur) left this spring. This site runs on a very customized early version of the Bondware software. I've been working here for almost a year now. And maybe (... looks around for Tim ...) I can give you a peek behind the scenes at Edgenet. (ssshhh!) Off the record of course. :) Some of my 3d interests. I owned Ray Dream before MetaCreations did, and still use it occasionally but not as often as I'd like. A couple of years ago, I wrote an object-oriented, multi-threaded, render-farming (networked) raytracer on the BeOS platform, for fun (ouch!). So I understand 3d from the artist's (user's) side as well as the software developer's side. My job here is to help you to help me to improve your community. Give us feedback as to what you'd like to see changed, added or even left alone. I'm here, partly on Edgenet's time, partly on my own time, to serve the needs of the community. Let talk about some new ideas! Russell

hello Russell,I have a couple of ideas about this community that might be useful, one I think with 29,000+ members , all of the members are more than just hobbyist, some no doubt are professionals ,so a free stuff page for high end apps could be useful ,and also more contests ,those seem to get people more involved in the community who other wise might stay silent(of course the prizes offered would have to be a good one).and just a personal issue I do happen to like green but, how about a change in colors around here (perhaps a change in scenery might help people to heal quicker). --criticom--

Thanks for the feedback. We'll look into your ideas. The colors are super-easy to change. I'll move that issue to another thread here.

Hi there. Welcome. I'll drop back and say hi better, but I have a broadcast to prepare... Later, ko?
