Here is one that you can do for FREE...But it will take you awhile but I say give it a go...Aldaron did a very good job of showing how to go about it....Awesome Job...

Thanks foleypro! Yeah there isn't a free program that does it but it can be done manually if you have the time and patience. The really long part is having to adjust the materials for each frame of the animation :(

foleypro ( ) posted Sat, 20 March 2004 at 9:04 PM

Should'nt Have to adjust Materials for every Frame of the animation...Just the first and the last or so I am thinking,or is it every 5th?yeah thats it when you make the Key frame at the last frame you just make sure you memorize all options?or is my thinking just a little screwed up?...Hmmm I will have to check into this when I have more time...

Aldaron ( ) posted Sun, 21 March 2004 at 4:23 AM

You have to adjust them because every frame you are importing a new object of the figure for that frame and deleting the previous object. To do it maually ou have to do like stop motion animation and render frame by frame then put it all together with another program to make the movie file.

But what about this... 1.You import the models frame to frame right but dont render each frame yet,And when you have the models in the frame you then Key frame it then you move to the next frame and do the same thing but you delete the models from the previous frame and insert the new models,BUT you are not adjusting Materials yet, then you do the same thing for the next and so on for every frame afterwards,Then when you have all of the frames done then you just have to do the first and last Frame of the animation to do the textures right? 2.Or can you just SAVE the Textures in a folder in the Texture Library and apply them each Frame... 3.Hmmm I think tho I am way off base because will the animation still work if we are Deleteing Models and useing New ones each Frame...But then again it should work and save alot of time maybe?

Aldaron ( ) posted Sun, 21 March 2004 at 1:29 PM

Nope, once the model is deleted all the info goes with it. Thus you can't just import all the models (lots of memory) and keyframe it. It's in the turtorial that you adjust the material, create a primitive object off camera and copy/paste the material to that object. Then when you import the next frame object you still have to select the parts (unless you didn't do much to the default texture, for example just adjusted the ambience, then you can just select the whole object) then copy/paste from the primitive to the imported object. The programs above do the same thing except it all automated using scripts.
