Hello ive just made this morph and pretty much photo aligned it, problem is when i apply the standard v3 textures to her it looks nothing like her, can someone suggesst a good texture that will look like Lara Croft??

Very nice morph, from this angle looks very similar. Have you tried using the Anna Marie Goddard texture from Daz one of my favorites. I think it would work very nicely, you can modify the eyebrows on the texture just a little to match those of Angelina. Very well done, I Would like to see how this turns out.

nice picking ther :-)n thbis is the revised version, mesh only though

That is an outstanding likeness! You may try darkening the underlying material just a shade. This tends to dramatically change the mapped texture. If you show us the textures you have now, we may be able to help a little better.

Sorry, I have no suggestions for a texture set but I'd like to say, wow, that that's a great morph. :)

Might try asking these guys. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/3d_celebrities/ They have some photo's of her that might work.

Great morph! Might I suggest making her jaw protrude a little more? I recall from the tombraider dvd cover there is a good profile shot of her and she has quite a protruding jaw and a flat forhead. Mind you it is hard to tell unless you see her in an exact profile!

WOW you're good. If you'd like to get rid of that little bit of wrinkle at the eyebrow, let me know your settings and I'll do a smoothing morph for it. :)

how do u do a soothing morph, you wontt have the settings either as this was made with the new v3 sculpture pak , 100 percent made in poser witrh dials.

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Mon, 22 March 2004 at 2:14 PM

You can't, the way I do, unless you use the Extreme Morph 3d program, export the head as an OBJ, smooth the creases, import it as a morph, set the main headmorph to -1 and the new morph to 1, export the new morph again and then it's a smoothed morph. :)

Sorry, Lucan, missed your question. Here's the correct sequence of events. Once you have your final morph finished, export it. Spawn the morph on the head, as well. Take the exported head OBJ into Extreme Morph 3d and use the smoothing tool. There are several good tutorials. Export the head through Extreme Morph 3d. Load the new morph and set it to 1.00. This will make the head look strange and distorted. Use the previously spawned morph and set it to -1.00. This will give you the proper change for the smooth morph. This is how I often do morphs for my own personal use, using the default morphs to get the shape as close as possible and then taking it into Extreme Morph 3d to add on with the changes I want in there, then spawning JUST the changes as a seperate morph.

I got to messing about with V3's head morphs and my own in Poser and then took it into Extreme Morph 3d. Half an hour, and this is what I got. Close enough that I'm moderately pleased. :)

The mouth and chin in posts 12 and 13 don't seem right. Angelina's lower lip and chin protrude more than the upper lip. The nose needs some work as well, as the shape isn't quite right and she has a slight nose bump, whereas the bridge of her nose curves inward on the morphs in 12 and 13.

ok i threw a quik texture together still need some work but looks ok , im happy with end result :-)

numanoid ( ) posted Wed, 24 March 2004 at 2:11 AM

I think it's excellent. The lips look a bit plastic, but the eyelashes are fantastic.

Barryw ( ) posted Thu, 25 March 2004 at 8:19 PM

Here's the million dollar question, you gonna share it??!!

bungle1 ( ) posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 12:16 AM

daz will be , LOL at a cost..

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 12:52 PM

I'd suggest /not/ sharing it as a product, unless DAZ wants to get sued by Angelina's estate. You're using her likeness as a product, something you can't legally do, as you don't own the copyright to her likeness. It took some serious wrangling with Anna Marie Goddard to get them to be legally allowed to use her likeness, and they had to change the EULA just for her product. You can probably sell it without Angelina or her lawyers noticing it, but if they do, you'll probably be taken to court. It's not worth the risk. I know people sell stuff like that here, but that's just because the estates of these look-a-likes haven't heard anything about the products. And if they did, believe me, we'd hear hell about it on the site.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see enough of a resemblance with this morph for there to be a concern about selling it as her. There is a hint of Angelina, yes, but the features and facial shape still don't seem right to me.

AlleyKatArt ( ) posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 4:06 PM

Not like that, no, but selling it as 'Angelina' or 'Angie' or even 'Lara' would likely push it to the point where it could be a legal no-no.

bungle1 ( ) posted Fri, 26 March 2004 at 8:18 PM

yes its similar not a clone , They dgree of accuracy with the texture could make it alot more real but a resemblence witha different name can be anybody....
