THE PLACE FOR ALL THINGS BRYCE - GOT A PROBLEM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE

Subject: Can you help a fella out with his still-life indecision: A, B, or C?

ddruckenmiller ( ) posted Tue, 23 March 2004 at 9:24 AM · edited Mon, 25 November 2024 at 11:53 PM

Im stuck and could use a little help I threw image A in for the challenge, but then I came up with B and C which might be better. Which way should I go; A, B, or C? A - http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=627938&Start=1&Artist=ddruckenmiller&ByArtist=Yes B - http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=631190&Start=1&Artist=ddruckenmiller&ByArtist=Yes C - http://www.renderosity.com/viewed.ez?galleryid=631187&Start=1&Artist=ddruckenmiller&ByArtist=Yes Thanks in advance for your input. (And your patience cuz it doesn't look like the 'HTML/don't format' option is working for me.) Don

Bottles all the way. GalleryThumb627938.jpg I think technically, it's the best of the three and my fave in terms of composition, colour, structure.

We agree with Drawbridge, number A definitely! Beautiful bottles, good color balance and compo. W&M

Oooohhhh.....just to make life difficult, I liked B and C much better, C best of all. I thought the bottles were a teenshy bit boring.

I like having more to look at than just the single vase/flower arrangement in this situation. I usually feel that less is more, though. I think i want a little more in B and C... even a hazy mountain range profile would do it for me. As for A, it looks to me as though the bottle on the left needs to be smoothed. Nice work.

I think the bottles are very well done, but personally I like B and C. I agree with bigbadelf though. It needs something. I love the roses though. You did a great job on all of them! :)

I nominate images B and C Love the colors on both!

How about using some 'babysbreath' alongside the flower? I don't remember if there is one in free-stuff or not..but worth a try looking. :-)

Subject-wise, I like B & C, but composition-wise, I'd go with A. JL

So I started with three choices, and now if I'm counting right I'll have eight versions to decide between!

I am thinking like EsoWolf.... I really like the colors etc in B and C.... But as far as composition is concerned I think that A takes the cake. Nice bottles by the way. 8) Wade

B AND C are simple, elegant. and speak volumes.

I hope we're making the decision easier.

B simply because its the best.there is an opacity about such delicate things as petals and leaves that is very hard to capture.

Definitely go with A, very interesting setup...=)

Thank you all for taking the time to check the images out, and for all your helpful commentary; which, when taken as a whole, bares a truly frightening resemblance to my stream of consciousness immediately before I came to the conclusion that I couldn't decide... <8-? Thanks again!
